In the field of secure entry systems ELCOMP Kkt. focused its activity where the highest grade of security can be achieved. Applications may include both the simplest stand-alone door or gate openers and the sophisticated automatic employee working time register and access control systems, supplemented with fire and/or burglar alarm.

For storing the information to legal entry or access control, special electronic circuits are used, packaged in the form of usual plastic cards or key holders. These data are stored in electronically rewriteable semiconductor memories and are checked by card readers without physical contact when the cards are placed in the proximity of the card readers.

By programming appropriate security codes into both the cards and the card readers (each card reader contains a microcontroller), we may be achieve that the significant contents of cards can not be modified, even the cards can not be duplicated by ones not knowing the programmed, but unreadable security codes. The card readers also warn when a similar card, but containing different security code, is sensed in their proximity.

Our card readers may be grouped into four category, according to their functions and the mode of coupling them to each others and to an other computer:

  1. stand-alone reader, mainly for door control.
  2. stand-alone reader, mainly for gate/barrier control.
  3. reader, connected to a computer by middle-speed serial link, according to the RS232C recommendation,
  4. reader, connected to another readers and/or a computer by a high-speed serial link, according to the RS485 recommendation.

With our card readers we can sell pre-programmed cards and the card readers can be learned by the user to accept some or all of these cards to be valid tokens. A programming equipment can also be ordered to program empty cards available from other vendors.

This card programming equipment is a hardware/software packet to inductively program and keeping trace of data programmed into the Microchip's HCS410-based devices. On this homepage you can find a free DEMO version of this programmer software, what can be run without hardware, to show how this programming procedure works.
